Wolfhalden Museum

The Wolfhalden Museum is located in the middle of the village, directly on the famous Witzwanderweg (joke hiking trail), in a typical and unspoilt old semi-detached house from the 17th century.

It shows us the living conditions of the ancestors. The room is dedicated to the life of silk weavers and farmers, and includes an old loom. The press and cider mill in the cellar remind us of the fruit and wine growing in the area. Passing the arbour with a privy, you reach the old kitchen and the former innkeeper's parlour "zur alten Krone". In the adjoining room, a wedding cabinet and a community flag bear witness to the Wolfhäldler's sense of art. Rustic wooden staircases lead to the upper rooms, to the "Vorbrugg" and to the chamber and ridge chamber - even in these rooms the simplest living conditions prevailed. Everything is well documented with evidence from the history of the community.
