The Zürioberland Location Promotion Agency is committed to an attractive and liveable Zürcher Oberland and implements projects in the business fields of economy, regional products, tourism, culture and society. One focus is on communicating the region's (textile) industrial history, because the Zürcher Oberland has one of the liveliest museum landscapes in Switzerland. These mostly volunteer-run museums and cultural institutions house unique exhibits and bring the rich history of early industrialisation to life. The private individuals and associations dedicated to the care of collections, archives and monuments make a priceless contribution to the cultural heritage beyond the region with a great deal of heart and expertise.
