Garnhandwärch
Here, traditional textile skills are being revived.
In workshops, Katja Frefel shows the journey of flax—one of the oldest cultivated plants—from a delicate seedling to finished linen. Participants learn about the history, sustainability, and versatile properties of the material.
In “Flickwärch” she devotes herself to textile repair. Whether visible or invisible, favorite pieces are carefully rescued, creatively renewed, and transformed into unique items. This creates new value and conserves resources. Those who want to try their hand at it can learn how to mend clothing in one of the courses.
