Do you want your event to be an exclusive and impressive experience? Let us take you and your guests into the world of textiles. We will be happy to assist you with your perfect event.

A piece of textile history – a tour of the textile city of St.Gallen

The textile industry has been shaping St.Gallen for centuries. It was the ambition, vision and creativity of the export merchants that made the city a leader in both the linen trade and during the embroidery boom. The ostentatious buildings and opulent facades in the city bear witness to this, as does the Textile Museum’s collection.

TextilSinn exhibition

Tino Koch, a renowned artist from Eastern Switzerland (who also has a studio of the same name), was commissioned by Textilland Ostschweiz to create a textile installation that stimulates all the human senses. The four primary human senses were to be the foundation of the work: sight, hearing, touch and smell. As for taste, there are other ways to explore this sense here. The textile sensory experiences are presented in four 280 cm aluminium silkscreen frames.

This artistic textile experience is perfect as a fringe event to larger events and trade fairs, but it is also great for exhibitions.n.

Textile Printing

Textildruckerei Arbon GmbH (TDS) is the last remaining Swiss company selling hand-printed, high-quality textiles made from 100% biodegradable materials. The company is located in a factory building that used to belong to Saurer AG. The top floor of the building is home to the gigantic workshop, which is still in the original condition. Because of this, the space is most comfortable to use between May and October/November. There are over 3,000 different printing screens stored in the loft.

Textiles are printed on a 60-metre-long heated table. Up to 24 different colours can be printed on top of each other on the fabric. Quality and sustainability are the top priority. “Hand-printed in Switzerland” is the quality guarantee.

Join in on a course and learn this traditional craft for yourself or use this unique setting for your special occasion!
